Let's start, this week. We have an unreasonable amount of news on Chinese dramas that have started production.
But first, let's talk about one Chinese drama that has scheduled and will go live very soon.
Miao, Qing Xu Yuan , Meow, English title is Make A Wish
Now its scheduled time is for the 8th of July and it's called cute name. Miao, Qing Xu Yuan.
So literally, Miao, Qing Xu Yuan, please make a wish, and the English title is Make A Wish.
And it's like by Ren Youlun and Ge Xinyi a Chinese drama that is within the "sweet on" Chinese drama series from iqiyi it's previous two are the day of becoming you and moonlight.
Make A Wish - Summery
The story is about a cat who got saved by a guy.
So the cat turns into a girl to pay back the debt of saving her life, not sure how they spinned it so that you can make it happen The myth about after founding of people's republic of china that the animals can not turn into humans so far, looking at the Chinese drama, it's definitely set contemporary and it is about a cat turning into a girl.
Let's see if it will be worth watching.
I'm pretty sure at least it will have a lot of cat noise sound effects not like we haven't seen or heard of them before then before we head into the huge chunk of Chinese dramas that has started production.
There's 1 piece of news related to Chinese drama and film that is really cute to know during this week which there is a film that will go into cinema in china on the 17th directed by the director Zhang Yibai, long time viewers know I have worked with him before this film is kind of an extension if you look at the name which is called ran ye shao nian de tian kong of feng quan shao nian de tian kong Run for Young.
It's also led that by the actor Peng Yu Chi Yan. So this is also focus on high school age, main characters, love youth growing that type of story.
The thing about this film is its theme song has just been released and it's sung by Zhang Zhehan and Xi Lin Na Yi Gao.
Xi Lin Na Yi Gao is the top winner like the C position of last year's tencent's idol selection, brilliant singer kind of rare.
Actually in china, the type of singing voice she has and she sings this song with Zhang Zhehan Mo Tian Lun Shi Sha Gua It's a really well written song and very well sung i'm very happy about it.
It makes me want to watch the movie, but I won't be able to see it in the cinema. I'll have to wait for it to go on the internet.
Now let's move on to all the drama that have started shooting.
Love the Way You Are Chinese Drama has started shooting
First a chinese drama has started shooting called Ai QIng Ying Gai You de Yang Zi English title love the way you are and it will be led by Lai Guanlin and Angelababy contemporary romantic story.
As for it features Angelababy as the female leader. if not anything else, at least it will provide some really pretty desktop shots.
Go Princess Go's Sequel Novel Chinese drama has started shooting
Then a Chinese drama based on the novel sequel of (Go Princess Go) novel.
So Tai Zi Fei Sheng Zhi Ji was the novel and it had a sequel novel that's about a princess.
Now. Its Chinese drama is being made and the title is called Lang Ju Bu Ru Yi and it has started shooting.
The leading actor and actress are Chen Zhe Yuan and Wu Xuanyi It has been how many years actually quite a long time since Go Princess Go came out and kind of started a new wave of dramas in the web dramaland in china.
So now they're making the adaptation of the sequel story, hopefully it will work out fine.
A Romance of the Little Forest chinesse drama has started shooting during this week
Then also a chinese drama has started shooting during this week called Liang Ge Ren de Xiao Sen Lin.
A Romance of the Little Forest. pretty.., direct translation. This is led by Yu Shuxin and Zhang Binbin Okay! Injury.
I definitely will watch this one when it comes out. I enjoy both actors actually when they are in the correct production for them, their style, it works well.
It is a story about two people meeting, have something to do with forest, but one of them is expert kind of botanist in plants and the other is an expert in birds.
So it has definitely that environmental protection, reservation angle, let's hope, professionally speaking on that side that this Chinese drama would do justice to real professionals who work in those areas.
And then I hope the chemistry works out well I hope the script is reasonable.
If the script writing level is similar to Moonlight, i'd be happy.
Brotherhood of Blades Chinese drama that has also started shooting
Then there is a Chinese drama that has also started shooting during this week that i'm very excited about. Xiu Chun Dao: Shan He Zhi Ying Brotherhood of Blades, shadow of mountain and river.
This Chinese drama is directed by the same director who directed the film, brotherhood of blades.
I like the story about jin yi wei, the embroidered guard ming dynasty setting stories. And what makes me more excited is the casting choice Zhang Yunlong Chen Ruoxuan, Sun Yi
Yes, you know why i'm excited for Zhang Yunlong Think about he is dressed up in ming dynasty costumes and possibly maybe the embroidered guards famous fei yu fu, the flying fish.
That's the name of the costume. It's enough to make me laugh for a minute. Continuously nonstop.
Zhang yunlong really needs a good period Chinese drama because he's been in, right?
A couple of period Chinese dramas, but he was always the supporting roles. And usually, when you are a supporting role, the styling everything doesn't kind of focus on you.
So they don't give you that much attention and time and design and stuff. He needs actually quite a lot of care about his styling. If he wants to play a period Chinese drama because of the wig thing,
If it's a bad wig, he will look weird. If it's a good wig And I mean ZYL is an athlete, right?
So body shape perfect and he can do actions.
He can fight for sure, because years of training as a soccer player, I'm just excited.
He's really unlucky when he started to see a little bit like glimmer of like getting a little bit more popularity after My Roommate is A Detective last year you get the mhm the drama that didn't air to its full term Lei Ting Zhan Jiang and then you get the Tears in Heaven that's recently released.
That is just utterly ridiculous and he only has like six episodes in it anyway I feel so bad for him.
He deserves better.

A Powerful City (October shooting planned)
Then there is a Chinese drama that has been announced that it will start shooting quite a late October but already making people quite excited.
Chi Zha Zhi Cheng A Powerful City, and it's another Republic of China setting drama of Shanghai during the years of china and japanese war.
And it will be focusing on two brothers who are in the financial world of things and how they collect money, get money together help chinese people to fight the japanese invasion that type of story and exciting thing about this Chinese drama is it's gonna be directed by Liu Yun Long.
He's very well known a great writer, director actor of the type of spy drama.
The rebel is like and set in Republic of China.
He's gonna be also the leading actor in this one.
So everybody is like, wow but also it's gonna be led by Yu Hewei who has just recently won the white magnolia award for best actor.
It also will feature Lei Jiayin Another well known actor purely because of how good he is as an actor or how big his head is, really not that big, but it's a joke.
Heaven Official's Blessing Name Change ?
Anyway, within the industry then one final piece of news before we go, ha ha ha.
Although it hasn't been confirmed, highly likely Heaven Official's Blessing Drama has changed its title, because paparazzi have the actors coming in and out of trailers and their hotels.
And everybody is wearing their kind of uniform t shirt, and it all has this character printed on it. That's Ji which means lucky or auspicious.
And actually, there are people who managed to take other shots of other banners and says "ji xing gao zhao".
So literally so far, the working title of heaven officials blessing, Tian Guan Ci Fu In china, the drama that's being filmed.
It's called Ji Xing Gao Zhao now so it's been changed to Ji Xing Gao Zhao.
The lucky star is shining high.
It's a very what we call "tu(土)" name.
It's the opposite side of fashionable or in trend and it has that strong vibe of either some kind of countryside comedy, or it has that vibes of some 80s 90s, hong kong comedy.
Anyway, we shall see if it's true.
And the thing is if the Chinese drama actually eventually ended up being called Ji Xing Gao Zhao, I just by hearing the name, I have lost the desire to watch the Chinese drama honestly.
But then maybe it's also a good thing because you kind of get a clean cut between the original story or its animation or this entire brand name of.
Tian Guan Ci Fu and you have ji xing gao zhao so if ji xing gao zhao fails magnificently, well then at least it's not dragging the name of the original text down with it.
That's like the positive side of the thing.
I just find it.
Ji xing Gao Zhao is so funny and it has nothing to do with Tian Guan Ci Fu , like which part of the story, which characters what subplot or main plot of whatever of that story makes you think about "ji xiang" (吉祥) auspicious and lucky.
Everyone is pretty effed up in that story, some epically effed up character set-ups and experiences supporting roles and main roles alike.
And it will be a very ironic title to give to this type of like everybody is like pretty effed up story.
Lucky star is shining high upon everyone.

But after 2020, nothing can surprise me anymore.
